False Creek is a bit a misnomer. It isn't a creek. It's an inlet that separates the downtown core from the rest of the city. But then again, the name does say it's false, so shame on us for believing it was a real creek. The inlet touches many parts of the city, but when it comes to Vancouver real estate, (not too many people know this), we define False Creek as the south side of the water only. The south side includes all water-front districts of Olympic Village, Fairview, and Granville Island to the Burrard bridge.

Any way you define it if you live in False Creek you're steps away from the seawall, boats, kayaks, sunsets, and some of the best restaurants and bars in town. The views of the city are spectacular, and there's always something to see in the harbour. Downtown Vancouver is just a short walk or bike-ride away, making False Creek perfect for those who want to be close to the city, but with a little separation.
